Fujifilm XP30

absorbs the shocks whilst you absorb the fun

London, 24 March 2011: Fujifilm, the trusted digital camera company, has launched to the UK market a water, shock, dust and freeze proof camera featuring built-in GPS functionality. Not only will the FinePix XP30 capture your priceless memories – it will survive even the most boisterous activity you can throw at it.

Perfect for holidays, family rough and tumble and active outdoor pursuits, the Fujifilm FinePix XP30 is a sleek camera with a hidden secret – a rugged exterior to protect your precious pictures.

Freeze proof to minus 10°C, this rugged snapper is ideal for mountain top snapping. It’s also waterproof to five metres, making it perfect for underwater photography or surviving water accidents. The XP30 is shockproof to 1.5m withstanding small drops and scrapes. And, you won’t have to worry about getting sand in it either as the camera is both sand and dustproof.

The XP30 will also help you document your travels based on GEO Tagging – logging your locations as you snap away. Locations can be displayed either as longitude and latitude coordinates, or by place name. The camera also has an embedded list featuring around half a million places of interest across the globe. When a shot is taken, the image is tagged with location information, enabling you to quickly find shots of a place you’ve visited and allowing you to track back to a favoured place whilst you’re out and about.

Not only will the wipe proof XP30 withstand all manner of adventures, the camera also features an impressive 5x, wide-angle, zoom lens, a 14 megapixel resolution and a healthy range of picture taking functions. If you want to take videos the FinePix XP30 offers HD movie capture of 720p at 30 frames per second or conventional 640 x 480 pixel definition. The camera offers great quality in a reliable shell.

The XP30 is available in 5 fun colours black, silver, orange, blue and green and is available now for around £199.
