can i use another type power adapter?

my hp 7762 photosmart has at last arrived from ebay. I have the usb cable , but i dont have the power adapter which is the 0950-4401 type.

being self unemployed at the moment so to speak, i was hoping to buy one between £7-10 , but checked ebay and google and your talking £15 and upwards, i just wondered is ther any other cheaper adapter i can use that will work with the 7762?.


any advice would be much appreciated.

I'd guess yes. But you ned to check that the adaptor gives the correct voltage, gives sufficient current and has the correct plugs and has the + and - the correct way round. Check the back of the printer, some of the info will be there, also on the label, probably on the back.
