I don't seem to be able to save to jpg unless I flatten layers, but that's fine; I started saving a psd file (which for HD space reasons I will store on DVD with the original TIF and keep it with the slides). You're quite right about battling bad exposure. There isn't much silver left on the film. I'll have a closer look at #6, it's not a keeper, but another chance to better understand sharpness. I've added a few more scans to the page. I wonder if someone could give me pointers on using USM for a naturally soft image like #15.
