Epson Premium Glossy roll paper anyone?

Postby Sigma » Sun Jul 18, 2010 5:01 pm

I'm trying to find the cheapest supply of 13"/32.9cm Epson Premium Glossy roll paper. I've found that Dell offer two different prices, the cheapest of which is £26.85 including VAT and delivery.

Anyone know of a better price?

If that's for 30 metres it's a good price. In theory you may get cheaper, but all the ones I know of don't come in 13", which is quite hard to find these days.

Sorry, all I know is Epson PG in cut sheets isn't the cheapest RC gloss paper around. It's a year or more since I looked for 13" rolls and back then several companies seemed to have stopped making it, no idea why ... :(

I would say that is a good price. I have not used 13" roll paper for a long time as I always found it hard to get hold of so gave up trying, but it was never much under £30 for a 10m roll from memory, and that is 5+ years ago.

Another alternative is to use a wider roll and cut down the paper yourself. If you are trying to keep the costs down then have a look at:

http://www.photopaperdirect.com/products/Xerox-Inkjet-Glossy-Photo-Paper-Roll-185g.html

Note you get 60m for £86+vat and del. Never used this paper but can recommend the supplier.

Having said that if you intend selling the framed print then do not scrimp on paper costs as it forms a very small percentage of the final price.

Try this 20% discount offer: £24 for 14 metres (don't know about p&p)
All the Lyson papers I've tried are quite good ... http://www.marrutt.com/roll-papers.php
