Photoshop and Extensis Photoframe

Postby Paul Warner » Mon Oct 08, 2007 7:14 pm

Please can anyone tell me how to load my copy of Extensis Photoframe 1 into Photoshop CS3? As a `plug in` it used to load automatically into Photoshop 7 and earlier, but now fails to do so, probably because Adobe have changed the name of the file directory, or something. I`m sure there is a way of doing it, but I`m no computer whizz and would be grateful for some help.
P.S....please keep it simple! :?

Under the Edit menu, open Preference and find the panel on plug-ins and scratch discs. First item lets you designate an additional plug-ins folder. Point it at the place where you have it installed. You may have to restart Photoshop for it to show up.

If this is a very old plug-in, you may need to go to the Extensis web-site and update it. I dimly remember that there was a revision in plug-in formats a number of years back, and some very old ones ceased to work.

I deliberately install Photoshop plug-ins into C:\Program Files\Photoshop Plug-ins and add that as the 'additional' folder in all applications that can use Photoshop plug-ins. It saves a lot of hassle when upgrading or remembering where a particular plug-in is saved.
