Epson Gray Balancer & PageProofer Software
The Epson Gray Balancer is now available to purchase at £39.99. This version is aimed at the Stylus Pro 4000 - but the good news is that there are drivers on the disk that will allow it to also run on the 2200 and 2100 amongst other Epson printers. The kit includes the reference charts, installation CD and a manual on PDF - I would recommend you print this out.
Gray Balancer will run on Windows 2000, XP, 98 & ME. Mac OS version 8.5 and greater but not OS X.
The one thing that I have never understood, is as this software was never going to be released in the US, then why did Epson use the American way of spelling Gray and not Grey as here in the UK.
The other software just released is the PageProofer software, this will allow multiple images to be sent for printing using roll media on the Pro 4000. I will look at this software in great detail on Page 9 of the 4000 review. This is also available at £39.99.
PageProofer will run on Windows 2000, XP, 98 & ME. Mac OS version 9.x and greater but not OS X
