The installation for the Pixma Pro 9000 follows the same formula as previous Canon printers, i.e. you have to fit the print head cradle, the inks, load two sheets of A4 plain paper media and then install the drivers and other software. The Wizard is excellent, all you have to do is follow the on screen instructions. The whole installation took approx. six minutes The full installation occupies 261 mb of hard disk space, although you don't have to install all the items, just select Custom install. I am surprised to see applications such as Easy PhotoPrint and CD LabelPrint included as these are more suited to the home user rather than the professional user (it says Pixma Pro 9000 on the box). However, there is an interesting looking Photoshop plug in called Easy PhotoPrint Pro which I will take a look at later on in this review. Having said that, Easy PhotoPrint is an efficient application which I unashamedly use often.
