With so many Wizards floating about, this stage of the installation is simply a matter of following the on-screen instructions. Make sure the printer is OFF and don't connect the USB cable - yet.
Insert the correct driver CD - Windows or Macintosh. Windows Vista drivers are also included on the CD but you are advised to check out the www.canon.com/support-hub/vista/ URL for latest information before installing.

At last, the entire process took about 11 min |
The entire driver and softwarte installation process was easy to follow and no problems were encountered. However, the Print Head alignment sheet did have some faded swatches, although looking at the Setting Up sheet this is indicated as OK. You can't read the on-line manual un till it is installed. I will have a look for information on this.
