Driver installation.

The driver installation CD should now be inserted into your PC. This auto runs and will ask you to connect the USB cable from here it will configure the correct port for use. Once completed (a four minute process) you have to Align the print head. Place two sheets of A4 plain paper in the front tray. From the Windows menu select Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. Open the Printers Properties by right clicking on the i965 printer, on the next screen select the Maintenance Tab and press the Print Head Alignment button. The printer prints three Magenta columns C, E & H (I don't know why it isn't A, B, C). Carefully look at each column and pick out the most evenly coloured swatch in each column and enter the figures in the appropiate boxes. Once completed the printer prints out another set of Cyan and Black swatches, these are automatically calibrated as they are printed by the printer reading what it has just printed using an infra red light source. Done!

The entire driver installation and head alignment rountine only took about 10 minutes. The printer is now set up ready to go.
