Setting Up
As mentioned earlier, the B8850 I have here is a pre-production model and has already had the inks and print heads fitted prior to delivery. The full production model will not be pre fitted with inks and heads - unfortunately I can't test this process out for you, so I will try to give you as much information as possible.
Fortunately the drivers CD has a series of animated tutorials which guides the user through the entire installation process.

This screen shows what should be in the box. |
Hover your mouse over any item and a POP-UP banner tells you what it is |
An animated handshake tells you shake and not stir the inks - keep the wrapper on |
Just in case you missed a step - don't forget to connect the printer to the mains supply. |
Now you can connect the USB cable |
All in all the installation step by step guide is very good, you would have to have a hefty hang over to do something wrong. Once the hardware has been connected up the software begins its installation, this took around 12 minutes on my XP system.
