We had a tremendous international response to this competition, which was to submit an image that will stand the test of time and be of interest to someone in 200 years.  The entries were really diverse and ranged from the personal to the global.

The winning picture " Sumatran orang-utans" by Shaun Ellis

 

Artist and media lecturer, John Waring, was asked to judge the competition.  After much deliberation he selected the winning picture by, Shaun Ellis.  Shaun took a great photograph of Sumatran orang-utans.  These beautiful animals are an endangered species and the mother and child image seems particularly poignant here.  Well done, Shaun, a fantastic HP B9180 printer is on its way to you!
